If you
are an enthusiastic and flexible person with an interest
in the environment, a desire to help a local community and
the determination to improve your Spanish, then Volunteer
Costa Rica could be just what you're looking for.
Costa
Rica is generally considered to be the jewel of Central
America.
The
country boasts both Caribbean and Pacific coasts, which
make it great for both surfing and diving. Jungles, volcanoes
and an incredible diversity of wildlife make this the ideal
destination for anyone with an interest in ecology and the
environment.
BUNAC's
Volunteer Costa Rica programme places people in community
projects run by local organisations in Costa Rica for 2-3
months. Projects vary depending on your interests and experience
and accommodation is typically in a local home stay.
After
an initial arrival orientation you will be living with a
Spanish speaking host family within a local community so
conversational Spanish is requirement of the programme.
