Resort
America is part of the American Institute For Foreign Study
and provides participants with pre-arranged summer work
across the USA. Drawing on over thirty years of experience
with our Camp America programme, AIFS has developed a unique
and exciting new opportunity for you to experience work
and life on an American resort.
The
programme starts in either May or June and lasts for 12
weeks or more. The package on offer also includes a RETURN
FLIGHT to America along with food, accommodation, pocket
money, help in getting the necessary visa and the opportunity
to explore North America once your work is over.
Resorts
are located in every corner of the United States; you could
find yourself in a country club in Vermont, on a mountain
lodge in Colorado or at a golf resort in Florida! The possibilities
are endless! Wherever you go, you're bound to enjoy the
recreational facilities on your resort or in the local area
during your time off.
Positions
available include:
HOSPITALITY Including assistant chefs, waiters, bar services,
cleaning
CUSTOMER SERVICE/ADMINISTRATION All areas of office work
including hotel reception and porter work HOUSEKEEPING Room
cleaning and laundry work
MAINTENANCE Grounds keeping and landscaping
These
jobs don't require a whole lot of previous experience, the
most important attributes are a willingness to learn, putting
in alot of effort and wanting to have a great time! Camp
America is part of the America Institute for Foreign study

Requirements
No previous
experience required. Most of our positions are entry-level
manual jobs, however, you'll get the unique opportunity
to learn how a hotel or resort functions within the USA
and see life in America from a new perspective. In addition
you must: • Be 18 years old by June 1st 2008 • Be available
before June 28th 2008 for a minimum of 9 weeks • Speak fluent
English • Have a passport that is valid at least 6 months
after your return date • Be able to prove to the American
Consulate that you have reason to return to your home country
(e.g. student status or employment). • Be willing to attend
a personal interview with a regional interviewer • Meet
the US visa, medical and criminal record check requirements
