Probably the most popular of our volunteer projects
is teaching; or teaching English to be more specific.
English
is the most widely recognized language universally and
there are many countries eager to learn. Some projects
might require a specific course as a project requirement,
but generally all you need is the ability to speak English
fluently.
Teaching
is a rewarding project as the fruits of your labour
are quickly recognized and it is very special knowing
you have helped enrich someone else?s life by imparting
knowledge. Although teaching English is the most popular
of the volunteer teaching projects, we do offer opportunities
to teach other subjects as well. A certain degree of
experience and education is required for these positions.
Get
paid to teach in China! If you have your A-levels and
are over 21 years this is a great opportunity. This
project offers you free TEFL and teacher training qualifications
and placement for up to six weeks of paid English teaching
to Chinese learners. Included in the package are Chinese
language lessons, support and assistance. When you start
teaching you will be provided with a curriculum, teaching
materials and a professional working environment.
Once
your six weeks are up you will receive a ?completion
bonus' so you can make the most of your Chinese experience.
China is a mysterious land full of contrast as the ancient
traditions of the past collide with ultra-modern industrialism.
So, whatever your interests, China will more than satisfy
your needs.
If it's shopping you love, her major cities and tiny
villages will confound you with choice. Nature lovers
are just as spoiled: you can forge mighty rivers, mountain
climb, cruise, trek anything you could ask for. And
of course there are China's many World Heritage Sites,
ranging from the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven
to the incredibly tranquil Lushan Mountain Range.
